Robot Puppets

Here are two robot puppets I made for my final project in Puppet Animation. The animation is called "Sisyphus v2.0" because the robot (named #6) is attempting to move a rock from one point to another, and the Claw keeps descending form above, picking up the rock, and putting it back on top of the original pile. For those of you unfamiliar with the myth of Sisyphus, it's about a king who is sent to the underworld and is made to roll a giant boulder up a hill but every time he completes the task the boulder rolls down to the bottom and he must repeat the task.

Both puppets are made from wire armatures with brass tubing and epoxy putty, with the bulkier forms carved from balsa. The rivets in #6 are just tiny pins pressed into the wood. The ground is made from wire mesh covered in plaster wrap.
